Devon Banks Holidays consists of a new 1 bedroom holiday lodge. The holiday let provides an ideal base to explore Devon, Somerset and Exmoor. We are truly dog friendly, walkers friendly and cyclists friendly as we have many attractions nearby. Enjoy a relaxing break in the North Devon countryside with great scenery to view. Our holiday accommodation is perfectly suited to photographers, artists or those that just wish to be away from it all. We are rural but still within easy access of North Devon attractions and some of the best dog friendly beaches, some allowing dogs all year round. You will find local shops and pubs that allow dogs too!
Being only 1.2 miles from Exmoor National Park, Devon Banks Holidays is lucky enough to have an abundance of wildlife and occasionally gets a visit from hedgehogs, Butterflies, local red deer, Barn owls, Tawny owls, birds of prey and many species of birds.
Located on a quiet country lane between the villages of Bratton Fleming and Challacombe in North Devon yet within easy reach of the Coastal town of Combe Martin, Lynton and the Market town of Barnstaple. We are within walking distance of Exmoor where you can enjoy hours of cycling, walking or dog walking. After your long walk on the moors why not pop into the well known Black Venus pub in Challacombe which serves good beer and food or the Old Station House Inn at Blackmoor gate, also serving great food and ales.
Holiday lodge Swallows Roost
Our new Eco holiday let is open for guests from Mid May 2026 the self catering holiday lodge is positioned where the Devon Banks touring site pitches were. It is a very spacious property with 72sqm of space to relax in. Swallows Roost consists of 1 bedroom with walk in wardrobe area. The property has great views overlooking the Kipscombe valley from the living area. The lodge has it's own parking area right next to the property and has it's own private small garden (improvements due 2027). It's size and design is very similar to our previous Babbling brook cottage but is timber clad to fit in within it's surroundings, with the timber slowly having a silver/grey shade. This property is within easy walking distance of the secure dog walking field which can be hired during your stay.
Those staying with us will be able to roam area's of our acres of land, there is a 1/4 acre area just in front of the lodge, our 3 acre off lead paddock with views of Exmoor and the Bray valley, or hire the secure dog field for even more off lead dog fun. Views from our land are just stunning, here you can view Exmoor National Park and the surrounding land (an artists delight). We are truly dog friendly and have put in many attractions for dog and owner. You can exercise your dog(s) off lead in our large fenced exercise area or wear them out with our dog friendly attractions onsite.
